Knock, knock... who's there?
Moo.. Moo who?
Kimberly Muchow.
My name has always confused people so hopefully this will help you remember me.
I am a born and raised Texan. I will be graduating from the University of Texas in Arlington in December 2014 with a major in public relations and a minor in journalism. For the past six years I have worked at Van Grow Art Studio for Kids in Fort Worth as an art teacher.
During the summer of 2014, I got an internship at Easter Seals North Texas which is a non-profit organization serving children and adults with disabilities and other special needs locally since 1939. I worked in the Marketing and Development Department. After working for a non-profit, I have discovered that that is my calling and I would like to keep working with a non-profit in the future.
I have had a lot of experience working with children, people with special needs and I have done a large amount of volunteer work with different organizations such as; the Ronald McDonald House, Susan G. Komen, Directions Home, Easter Seals North Texas and the Tarrant County Food Bank. A passion of mine is giving back to the community, so I always try to help in anyway possible.
I am also very passionate about art. I love to travel and find beauty out of life. I love to be outdoors and active, whether I am biking, rollerblading, walking or doing yoga. It can be easy to forget how wonderful the world can be, that's why I live by Louis Armstrong's words, "...and I think to myself, what a wonderful world."
